CCIEA - What We Believe PDF Print E-mail
This affiliation provides a context for Spiritual fellowship, Spiritual covering and leadership. This affiliation is one without any legal restrictions being placed on either organization by the other.

It is an affiliation of similar minded organizations/churches coming together in a covenant relationship. A covenant relationship is a commitment to not only be concerned about ones own affairs but to also be genuinely concerned about the affairs of the other members of the fellowship. (Phil 2:3-4)

We agree to the following statement of faith:

  • We believe and accept the entire Bible as the infallible Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit; the only and perfect order of our faith and manner of living; to which nothing can be added or taken away. (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Pet 1:21, Hebrews 4:12)
  • We believe there is only one living and true God, eternal, with unlimited power, Creator of all things and in the one God are three distinct persons: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Eph 4:6, Mark 12:24)
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is The Word made flesh, who assumed the human body through the Virgin Mary and so is fully God and fully human, two natures in one person, the divine and human, who died for our sins and rose again from the dead. (John 1:1-2,14, 3:16, I Cor 15:3-4)
  • We believe Salvation is the gift of God for all and can be received by all through faith in Jesus Christ. They who are in Christ Jesus (cleansed through His blood) are new creatures, and have Him for wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. (Rom 3:24,25, 2 Cor 5:17, Eph 2:8)
  • We believe in Water Baptism by single immersion in obedience to the Word of God. It symbolizes to the world that one has died with Jesus and has been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matt 28:19, Acts 2:38)
  • We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as an experience received subsequent to salvation (where a measure is received) with the evidence of speaking in tongues and other gifts that empower the believer and church for spiritual life and service. (Acts 1:18, 2:4, 19:6)
  • We believe in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper as an ordinance of the church symbolizing the broken body and shed blood of Jesus Christ as the new covenant between God and man. (Luke 22:19,20, 1Cor 11:24)
  • We believe that believers must live in Holiness. They are “in but not of” the world and must have consistent conduct before God and man according to the Word of God. They are to be in the world as life giving light. (Eph 5:1-2, Philippians 1:9,10, 1Peter 1:15-16)
  • We believe that there is healing (physical, emotional and spiritual) through the atonement of Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 53:5, Acts 4:30, I Cor 12:9, James 5:14)
  • We believe in The Blessed Hope, the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:13)

We affirm that every local church should be inclusive and actively seek to include all peoples of all races, ethnic origins, and social and economic standings. The Church of Jesus Christ is a multi-ethnic group that must celebrate this diversity and work for the demolishing of the scourge of racial prejudice. God’s purpose is to make all people into one for the glory of God.

It is agreed that a commitment to Christ like character is essential and must be demonstrated by personal integrity, moral purity, financial responsibility and ethical standards of Christian conduct.
