Anthony Spero – Director
African Soul Crusade/Life Line Missions – the beginning. Rev. Charles Imler, Mary Spero’s father began working with African Soul Crusade in 1958 with Robert Thom [South Africa] and S.U. Ekpo [Nigeria] and soon became a co-director and eventually the director. The church helped to support Native Evangelists in South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland and Nigeria. Many bicycles and PA systems were purchased to help assist the workers in taking the Gospel to the unreached people. African Soul Crusade eventually became Life Line Missions, what it is today. Various churches and individuals have helped support the pastors and evangelists in Nigeria faithfully through the years. We have established a Bible School to train up more pastors and church leaders. Prayer centers have been set up as well as maternity clinics where the Gospel is given to those who come for medical help. Mary Spero worked closely with her father in Life Line Missions after her mother passed on. Calvary Chapel has helped support the Field Supervisor, John S.U. Ekpo the son of the founder for over 25 years. When Rev. Imler also went to be with the Lord in 1998, Life Line Mission was turned over to Pastor Anthony Spero who remains the director of Life Line Missions, now an outreach mission ministry of Calvary Chapel International Worship Center. We oversee and help support the work in various areas of Nigeria and Cameroon. Many souls have been saved and countless numbers have been healed because of the work of the dedicated workers we support. For 50 years now Life Line Missions is making a difference because of the giving of faithful supporters. And so as we carry on the work, this mission heritage has passed down to the second generation.
